The East Coast Area AGM was held on Saturday, 19 November, 2022. We’re most grateful to the Walton and Frinton Yacht Club for making us so welcome, providing facilities for the meeting and serving an excellent supper for everyone before we all retired to the bar for a convivial evening chatting about summer adventures and planning for next year.
Apart from the formal business of the AGM, there was a prize giving. Yvonne Mitchell won the Batemans Tower Award for doing the most to help during 2022. Mike McCarthy was presented with a belated thank you for his assistance with the East Coast Race. Alison & Julian, now living in Scotland, won the Francis B Cooke award for their blog on taking ‘Robinetta’ from Southwold to Scotland.
