There was another spectacle of traditional and working boats out on the River Orwell on Sunday, 6 August, 2023. The strong winds meant that an inshore course was set for the larger boats, starting from the Haven Ports Yacht Club start line up the River Stour to Stour no.1 buoy and back. We are most grateful for sponsorship of the OGA60 Jubilee East Coast Race from Dartmouth Gin. As a member of the OGA and owner of a Cockwell’s Bristol Pilot Cutter, ‘Merlin of Falmouth’, Lance Whitehead was delighted to be invited to support the OGA60 Diamond Jubilee Celebrations and race on ‘Dirty Girty’.
